AN EYE TO A VIEW

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, there was only God, or that which we call God. Not a man in a white robe and a long flowing beard, but rather everything was God and God was everything. God was everywhere and everything was God, because what else could it be? There was no physical universe at that time. It is impossible for your Conscious Mind to comprehend this because you cannot understand the Infinite with the finite. But there existed only this God/Divine Intelligence/Awareness (henceforth referred to by the nickname of God.) He/She/It (God) had been floating through the Void since before the beginning of time, since time had not begun yet.

God had thought of the funniest joke in the world, but SHe didn't have anybody to tell it to. So SHe thought and thought about it for a long, long time, and became more and more frustrated. Finally one day SHe blew Its stack into a hundred million, billion, jillion tiny pieces. And that is what we are. Each of us is one of those hundred million, billion,jillion tiny pieces that used to be massed together as God. In Its Divine Intelligence and the fact that SHe knows all things.... The Divine Plan was that eventually each of these tiny Divine sparks would grow and mature until each of us would be capable of understanding the joke.

The Theosophical Society talks about three waves of Divine sparks shooting off from the core of Divine Intelligence, the All That Is. The Souls which are inhabiting the Earth at this time are supposed to be of the third wave. Although since God has always been it is hard to imagine that there have only been three waves. Maybe just the third wave in THIS physical universe. At any rate, there are different lifewaves emanating from the Source at different times. Most of the Earth is of the same wave. This has probably been going on forever. But I get too technical.

My concept of God is that of a holographic film. A hologram is a photograph which is taken with special equipment using a laser beam. When you shine a laser beam through the negative, you create a three dimensional replication of the Original. You can project it into the middle of a room and walk around the back of the replication and see all four sides of it as if it were stationed in front of you. One of the characteristics of a hologram is that you can take the negative, cut it up into a hundred million, billion, jillion tiny pieces; shine a laser beam through the tiniest one of the pieces and you get the whole, entire, complete picture. Three dimensions and all. That, my friends, is what we are. Each of us, being that tiny little spark or piece of that holographic film or picture of God, when we shine our Light through ourselves, we have the whole, entire, complete picture. We are, then, all that God is. We talk about how we should let our Light shine through. It is beautiful, isn't it? So we let our Light shine through our Spirit and then project this Spirit out into our outer, conscious personality. Then all that God is, We are. We are SHe.

So this process goes on and on and we are busy trying to find some way in our succession of earthly lives to shine that Light through -which is Enlightenment - and understand the joke. When we understand the joke we get to go back to Go, collect our $200 and add a (d), to Go, and that is it. Except that then we probably start over again, we just expand more and more until we are so expanded we encompass everything. After ten trillion years and we have done it all, we merge back into the Source in Oneness and then we go do it all over again.

You hear a lot of philosophies about Group Souls, Source Souls and things of that nature and they all probably play a part somehow in how we choose to define our roles in our apparent separateness from the Source. They probably have at least a speck of truth in them. How much of Ultimate Truth actually comes through to us in the channeled material is hard to say. But in essence, we are It. We are that spark (or by now a bright flame!) We don't have a soul, we are that Soul. We don't have a spirit, we are that Spirit. We have a body. We weren't made in the image and likeness of God. To think that is to cut us off from our true heritage. Many times in the course of our many civilizations we have understood that we were God. But each time when we got further away from the prophet who told us that, we began to forget the true message and deny that we are God. We began to divorce ourselves from our Spiritual essence and think that God is up there and we are down here so we can't be God. That is because we are focusing on just the human consciousness and the human body and we have forgotten to shine our Light through.

So we are that spark of the Divine. We don't have it buried deep in us someplace. We are IT. We have always existed, though not necessarily as separate, individual consciousnesses, although we have been those for millions and millions of years. Being part of All That Is, that Total Awareness That Has Always Existed, THAT is what we are. At one point in time, let us say the third wave, we were splintered off. We, collectively as God, chose to do that for the purpose of gaining experience. We are like secret agents for the Source. We were sent down here to the wilderness to gain knowledge, information and wisdom.

There was a commercial that was on TV many years ago for a bank card. You see this two dimensional bank card and all of a sudden a face raises up out of it. That is another picture of us. There is this big, huge mass, which is the Source, the All That Is, God, Divine Intelligence, and every now and then one of us rises out of that and takes physical form, experiences all that we have to experience and then withdraws back into All That Is. That is a simplistic version of what I see in my mind, but sometimes the simple pictures are the best. We are the physical representation of God. And all that God is, we are. We have done this over and over again. We began our Earthly incarnations possibly as aware Beings but not as evolved Beings.

We went through a succession of physical lives on some planet, not necessarily this one, and gained experience and gradually forgot who we are while we were on this physical level. When we are between lives, we all remember where we came from. Gradually we fell into these fleshly lives and began to think that this was all there was. We and all of the rest of us down here. Then gradually for who knows how many millennia we have struggled to regain contact. We each have our own level of evolution. There are those of us who have not had many earth lives who are still going after power, money, and things of that nature. That is all they live for, the so-called physical lusts, those appetites which we have and can express and experience on this physical level which we can't express and experience on the Spiritual level because they don't exist there. These people think that is all there is to live for. And that is okay, because we have been there also. We have had our times at being warlords, kings, queens, rulers and what not and going for all of the material pleasures. But we have now outgrown that. Not only you who are reading this, but we the collective human consciousness. We are ready to get on with it, get back on the program, back to what is really happening.

As Spirit, as God, of course, there is no gender. Spirit is that blend of what we call male and female qualities and attributes. When we are in Spirit we are not male AND female. That is dichotomizing something that is whole. That exists only on the physical level. For example, you take two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. When you put them together you get h2o, or water. Hydrogen and oxygen are gases. When you put them together you get something entirely different, a liquid. You don't get two gases side by side, rather you get that blend, which is water. So when we put the male and female together we get Spirit, not male over here and female over there. Rather, the energies are totally integrated. At some point in our earthly evolution we decided we needed to find some way to re-create our physical bodies because we had forgotten how to create them out of the ether. We then experimented with various means of reproduction and finally decided upon the male/female split. Until then we were androgynous. When I say "we decided", the "we" is that part of us that is the council which oversees the evolution of the human consciousness on the planet earth. For remember, everyone and everything is us.

It is this male/female aspects of ourselves coming together which is the creative process; the aggressive and the receptive, the electric and the magnetic. As Spirits we have seven levels of consciousness, subdivided into three groups: Conscious, Subconscious and Superconscious. The Superconscious is our True Essence. There are two levels in the Superconscious. That is us as Spiritual Beings, the spark of the Creator within, the Godself, the High Self, the I AM, whatever you want to call it. It is that part of us that is God in totality. The Subconscious is what the Christians call the Soul. There are four levels in the Subconscious. The Subconscious stores the memories of all of our past lives and all of our complete understandings, or Truth. The Conscious level is the seventh level, in which we are operating in the waking state. It creates desires and experiences life and gains understandings to be stored in the Subconscious, which is then available to us for all time.

Spirit has no form. And It is whole. However, for the purposes of understanding it on the human, conscious level, we give it shape, we give it attributes, we give it form and personality, etc. because we are trying to understanding infinite with the finite part of our mind which operates in a linear, three dimensional world.
When we are in Spirit we are whole, complete and androgynous; totally one with all of our characteristics. When we decide to come down to this level of existence, to experience life in a physical body, we have to decide whether to be male or female. We pull down with us from Spirit those energies or qualities associated with whichever sex we chose. We leave the qualities associated with the opposite sex on the Spiritual plane, in our Subconscious. So we are still whole. It is just that on this level we predominately express either male or female qualities.

Although at any time we are free to tap into and express the energies and attributes of the opposite sex which we have stored within us in our Subconscious.
The purpose of the Conscious level of Mind or Spirit is to choose desires and to decide to experience this or that. The Subconscious Mind works hand in hand with the Conscious Mind and says, okay, you asked for that, you got it, and provides the desires of the Conscious Mind using various Laws of Manifestation. Therefore the Subconscious Mind creates for the Conscious Mind anything it desires. Then the Conscious Mind takes what it has asked for and which the Subconscious Mind had created for it, experiences with it, arrives at some understandings and gleans what, for the Self, is Truth from the experience. This Truth then, is stored in the Subconscious. There is that interchange of energy, a cyclical coming together, which is the creative process. That is also, then, the male and female energies coming together.

I began my Metaphysical studies at the School of Metaphysics in 1979. I have found that their words and symbols are virtually the same as the Theosophical Society and, although different words, the concepts are the same as the Eastern mystics in India and China talk about. The School of Metaphysics uses what they call a Mind Diagram or pyramid. Of course Mind or Spirit does not look like this, but we use this for certain illustrative purposes. At the top of our imaginary pyramid is the first level of Mind and as we move outward, we create the other levels of Mind. Right at the peak of course there is a point. Actually everything is created from points, dots or molecules. Right at the top there is a single point. That point is our refined, concentrated, focused consciousness. At that point we are All That Is. Then as we move down through the denser levels of experience, our consciousness begins to diffuse so that by the time we are at the seventh and densest level, our consciousness, our focus of attention, has swung very wide, become very unfocused, and created the base of our pyramid. (This is like the Big Bang Theory. We go from a single point and then diffuse into a hundred thousand galaxies. Then we spend all of our time looking at a single planet amongst all of this glory instead of seeing the central thread which leads back to that single point.)

Operating in the widely diffused seventh level of consciousness, the Conscious Mind, we think, boy this is big and must be all there is. But that is not true. If you were to reverse the pyramid and have the Conscious Mind be the point at the top of the pyramid, then you would have the true relative significance of each level of consciousness. We could liken it to an iceberg whose tip is sticking out of the water. The tip would represent the Conscious Mind. That small tip of the iceberg sticking out of the water thinks that is all there is. But, actually, below the surface is the other 99%. It is there but cannot be seen if you are on the tip of the iceberg, unless you were on the Titanic, in which case, you had a direct experience with it!
So we often think this conscious experience of the material world is all there is and we have to do it all consciously ourselves. We try so hard. We visualize and we meditate and we pray and we affirm and we think we must not be doing something right. We are busy trying to force things to happen. We are trying to do it all with our Conscious Minds, not allowing that other 99% to kick in.

I also compare it to a seven story building. Let the bottom floor with the reception area represent the Conscious Mind; the next four floors represent the Subconscious Mind; the top two floors represent the Superconscious Mind. "We" are responsible for manufacturing and selling all of these goods and services. This whole seven story building is one company. We are down here on the first floor thinking we are all alone because there is paint on the ceiling and we can't see the rest of the floors. We think we are down here taking these orders in and shipping them out, cranking out the manufactured goods, working eight days a week, 25 hours a day, busting our butts to get things done, wishing we had some help but thinking we have none. What we don't realize is that there are six other floors actively at work helping us in this process. The paint on each ceiling is one way paint. Looking up we can't see through it. But each level can look down and see through it. Each level is aware of itself and every level below it. We are down on the bottom floor and look up and all we can see is the ceiling and we think this is it. We are all alone and we are scared. Up on the Second floor they can see through the paint on the floor and think, boy, it is just us two. We have to work real hard. That chump down there thinks he is the only one, but it is just the two of us and we are working our butts off. And the third floor thinks the same thing. They can see the lower levels but not the ones above. And so on.

The point is that you are not alone. There is much more to you than just the Conscious Mind and it is all actively at work to help you live your life, even if you are not aware of it. The way things seem to work out on this level are not necessarily the way they are happening. They say that God works in mysterious ways. Well, God works on the fourth floor, pulling the cranks and levers. Like when you were a kid at the carnival and on the midway there was this little glass enclosure and these little cranes that you move and you try to pick up a prize and drop it down a chute. Well, that is God's job on the fourth floor! He is up there hearing that you want a new Cadillac, but you haven't visualized it very well and you aren't too sure how you are going to get it. So the God of Manifestation is up there cranking these things out, trying to get a Cadillac, but you weren't much help and all you got was this beat up old Chevy. The order wasn't very clear and all He could make out was that you wanted some kind of car.

God works in mysterious ways because He is up there on the fourth floor and we can't see Him. Actually, everything goes through proper channels and it goes down through proper channels and everything is in perfect working order. We just don't always consciously know what that order is. But it is there and everything is working according to plan.
On the fifth floor is the Karma Department. All of the orders have to be filtered through the fifth floor. Virtually everything gets through with no hassle because Karma affects most of our life very little. Basically we are totally free to do and have everything we want. On the sixth level is where the ultimate plan resides, the long term corporate plan that gives a brief outline to each of our lives. In this life we want to experience compassion or perseverance or relationships or self worth, etc.. How we choose to bring those things into our lives is up to us on the first floor. That is all it is, an outline. How we choose to fill in the rest of the story is totally up to us on the first floor. WE ARE ALL SEVEN FLOORS. The seventh floor is our true home. It is the Corporate Headquarters, the Divine Self, the High Self, the I AM, the God Within. That is the real us. Our goal in each life is, working from the first floor, to get all seven floors working in total harmony with each other. Actually the main problem is the first floor.

When we split off from All That Is and became a separate but unexperienced God, that is what we were, the seventh level, the board of directors, the corporate headquarters. As we have gone these countless eons of evolution, we have built on each of these other levels to experience life on those planes. We have added them to ourselves, but we are not them.
When we decide to be physical again, we read the blueprint, the overall book of our lives, past, present and future, and know where we have been and where we are going. We look at the chapter regarding this life and it says these are the things we want to cover. then we begin to decide whether we want to be male or female, which would be the best for us to be to experience those things in this life which we want to experience; who down there now would make suitable parents who would give me the opportunities in life which I want; how about a name which would express the vibration I am working on in this lifetime; how about a date of birth which would give myself an Astrological Chart so that if I decide to look to the stars then I will know what I have chosen for myself; place of birth; environment; genes, chromosomes - which ones do I want from each parent to create that body which would best suit me and what I choose to experience in this life. All of these things we choose.

On each level we have total free will. Even if we think we are limited or blessed by our Karma, we are the ones who created that Karma and chose to experience it in this lifetime. Just before we are born into the bodies at the time of birth, assuming we no longer have to experience life in the womb, we are waiting in the Cave of Forgetfulness. Our Guardian Angel comes to us and helps us review those things which we chose to experience in this life. Then S/he says that we have to forget everything except this life into which we are about to be born. S/he then says, sshhh! Don't remember anything I told you. This creates the veil between the Conscious Mind and the rest of our Being. This exists because we need to learn something new. If we jumped down here with all of our memories intact, we would tend to do things the same way we have done them in the past rather than trying a new solution to a puzzle in our lives. So for most of us we can't remember any of our past lives. They do bleed through in our dreams, talents and abilities because we do have those things and will always have those things. We always take those talents and abilities with us because they ARE us.

We jump into these bodies with a blank Conscious Mind which we have created for ourselves just for this lifetime since the Conscious Mind is part of this material plane and is not taken with us when our bodies die. When we are first born we are operating totally out of Subconscious Mind. It is part of our Subconscious Mind that regulates our breathing, cell regeneration, heartbeat, etc. through the body's autonomic nervous system. So when we are born into these physical bodies we have a Conscious Mind that has no experiences in it. Gradually we learn to cry to get food and get our diapers changed. We learn to control these bodies to move around in. We are stimulated by our parents and our environment. We begin to have some experiences in the Conscious Mind upon which to build. Then, over a period of time, we begin to operate more out of Conscious Mind and less out of Subconscious Mind. During the first year and a half to two years we probably remember where we came from and why we are here because we are operating out of Subconscious Mind and that is where this information is stored. Little by little we operate more out of Conscious Mind and are taught by parents, peers and teachers to forget what we remembered at first. At about age six or seven we reach the so called age of reason because we have now gained enough experiences so that we can operate almost exclusively out of our Conscious Minds.

As we grow, learn and experience in this life, our bodies reflect those changes. We develop worry lines, laugh lines; we stand up straight or maybe are bent over by our experiences. Our bodies begin to reflect our inner states of mind. We develop "conditions", dis-eases or padding to keep our sensitivities intact. Most of our chronic states of mind are written on our bodies. Palmists, iridologists, phrenologists, reflexologists, etc. can tell much about us from the record we have left on our bodies.
We are not Spirit and matter. Actually everything is God. Even a piece of metal is God. There is nothing that is not God. A piece of metal has enough Mind Substance, Spirit or Divine Intelligence to know that it is supposed to lock in and be that metal shape. If it didn't, it would fall back into the basic molecules. When I was in the second grade the Nuns told me that God was thinking about me that very minute, and that if he ever stopped thinking about me I would cease to exist. What they were trying to say was that there is enough Mind Substance in all things that everything knows that it is supposed to retain its shape. A piece of metal has an aura, Kirlian Photography has shown us that. Plants have auras, chairs, rocks, and animals have auras, as well as humans. That is the Lifeforce or essence of Spirit in all things that keeps them as physical objects. If there were not that Spirit in it, it would dematerialize instantly. But it does, so it stays. There is nothing that is not God.

It is not that we are Spirit and matter. Matter is God because everything is God. We have taken our Divine Intelligence and imbued the physical body with our Spirit. Our Spirit blends with our physical body so that we might experience life on this plane of existence. We are the Lifeforce which animates the body. There is no dichotomy. We are Spirit in matter. I once had an image of this come to my mind. I could see Earth reaching up to Spirit and Spirit reaching down to Earth and the two combining to create these physical bodies.
So there is nothing that isn't God in one form or another. That is why many people respect life so much in any form; crystals, rocks, plants, animals and insects. Many people I know will not kill a bug. They either live in harmony with them in their own homes or capture them and release them outdoors.

So that in a nutshell is my story of where we came from and who God is. As the character Zero in a Beetle Bailey comic strip said many years ago, the purpose of Life is to love, to laugh and to learn. I always thought that in life if you did those three things you would be ready for whatever came next. We are here to have a good time. Earth was set up as a recreational planet many millions of years ago. But over the eons of time we forgot that we were supposed to enjoy our lives here. We got too serious. We are here to love and to laugh. And if we do these two things, we will learn. We don't have to have "learning experiences" to learn. We can learn from our successes. There is a philosophy which says that suffering is good. And we can learn from suffering, but we can also learn from experiencing joy. We can have a lot of fun learning. I am learning to learn from good experiences. Although to the Soul, there are no good or bad experiences. There is something to be learned from all experiences, though sometimes it is that we do not need to have these experiences.
We are God in human form and should recognize that fact. Then we take responsibility for what we do and begin to respect our fellow human beings as well as the Earth. Then we will have our New Age and the thousand years of peace long promised to us.
