In January, 1988 I felt that year would be one in which we would make the shift from a war consciousness to a peacetime consciousness and urged everyone to pray and meditate for peace. Well, you did a good job! We may still have our wars, but they will not be World Wars nor will they be nuclear. The consciousness has definitely shifted. Peace has broken out all over, despite local situations to the contrary, which merely give us an opportunity to strengthen our resolve to choose peace.

Hypocrisy may seem to be on the rise, but our toleration for it is definitely on the decrease. Scandalous actions and practices which have gone on unchecked for decades suddenly are making national headlines. We are realizing that acid rain and the greenhouse effect are issues which need to be dealt with TODAY with action rather than words. Not much has yet been done, but our formidable consciousness is on those topics and soon they, also, must fall in alignment with our new thinking.

It IS being done and YOU are doing it. You do make a difference. Each of us creates the Collective Human Consciousness by our every word, action, and thought. Every meditation and prayer you make changes Humanity's awareness. Meditate in private or come together in groups, be active physically or work on the inner planes, but DO it. Right now you are creating the thousand years of peace for which your hearts and souls cry out. Be firm and joyous and make it happen.

What happened to Communism in the waning days of 1989 is unprecedented in human history. We have seen in the space of a few weeks evolutionary changes which normally take decades to occur. We are taking that quantum leap forward for which we have all prayed and meditated. This is the energy which we were born to set in place upon this planet and it is working. You are seeing the fruits of your labors and you are to be commended and loved for what you have accomplished.

There is a strong thrust for peace and Self determination throughout the world. These changes should be welcomed in brotherhood and joy. The West should not try to take advantage of the situation for political reasons. If we truly believe in Self determination, then we will let these countries plot their own course, giving only that assistance for which they ask, knowing at all times that they know what is best for them.

It is too soon to tell just what course they will eventually plot. Even if there are power struggles within those countries which bring back a more totalitarian form of government for a while, we must keep firm in our hearts that peace and personal freedom MUST prevail over the entire globe.

For with these changes, it can no longer be denied that we are now past the dawning of the New Age. The Sun of Enlightenment is beginning to shine upon all of us.

Just as individuals have a karma, so do nations as a whole. I feel that centuries of "negative" karma have been expiated from these countries. At various times during the next five to ten years, this will happen all over the world. Then we will have our Golden Age, our thousand years of peace.

But remember, peace, personal freedom and Self determination are not something that is only needed "over there". There is much equality to be gained for people right here in the United States. We have many suppressed minorities. Plant now in your hearts the thought of equality and freedom for all peoples everywhere. Take whatever action is necessary and appropriate in your everyday life to let those around you know that you accept them as an equal and that you will allow them to express their own individuality even though it may be radically different from your own Self expression.

By making a concerted effort in your own life to allow for individual differences in your friends, family members and co-workers you create a pattern in the collective human consciousness which facilitates this happening throughout the world. We have made tremendous inroads with the governments of the world to live in peace, next will come the religions when they realize they all serve the same God in their own individual styles.
